Whether you have a love or hate relationship with the major search sites, the fact is today's home buyers and sellers are on Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com.
Take advantage of this! Put a little spark back into that relationship (and potential opportunities in your pocket!) by making these simple tweaks to your profiles, and get ready to stand out among a sea of agents.
Start with the Basics
Check your profiles to make sure that your information is up-to-date. I regularly see agents who have an old brokerage listed on their profile or dated profile photo (if you're new to the industry, be sure to claim your free profiles).
Don't trust that your data is accurate. Double check your past sales and active inventory. If you see any discrepancies, log-in to your dashboards or reach out to the respective support teams.
Review your "about me" section bi-yearly to leverage your experience and highlight any new proficiencies. Check out - The stress-free formula for creating a Realtor bio or profile
Use Video!
Zillow allows you to feature a video right on your profile page!
If you're not making video a key part of your Real Estate marketing strategy, start today. It's the best way to demonstrate your personality and expertise. We're making "agent introduction" videos easier than ever with our ERA at Home Video Studio for agents.
Show Off Your Team
Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com all offer team profiles.
They're simple to set-up and give customers the ability to learn more about each agent on your team. You can also set lead routing rules for the different members. If you don't already have an engaging agent site, this profile element would be a good alternative to a team bio page.

Go Local & Focus on Your Customer
One of the hardest concepts to master is creating a profile that demonstrates who you are but is also tailored to your customer.
Write for your potential customers and include information they would be looking to learn. Steer away from jargon, and shoot for engaging and approachable. If you include a designation, explain how it helps your customers and not just what the acronym stands for.
Keep it local by including a cover photo on Realtor.com of the local area or feature a home type you specialize in (TIP - 1200 pixels wide is recommended for the cover photo).
Include your local expertise in your bio by highlighting areas you are farming. You can always include that they can visit your website to learn more about the communities featured.
ERA Grizzard agents have nearly 20 community profiles to choose from to include on their fully customizable websites. We're dedicated to providing hyper-local marketing with the latest in technology to create opportunities for our agents.
Get Recommendations
Checking the reviews of products, restaurants, and even professionals has become the standard for customer's in their decision making stage.
Remember to request ratings and reviews. If you're worried about review burnout from your customers, don't ask the same customer for reviews on multiple sites. Set up a system where you ask 'Customer A' for a Realtor.com review, 'Customer B' for a Zillow review, and so-on.
Don't miss out on Realtor.com's recommendation feature! Many agents don't know that you can upload recommendations in addition to asking for those ratings and reviews.
Your profiles aren't "set-it and forget it." Regularly update them and check for accuracy. And before you know it, you'll have a stand out profile!
