The 25-mile road would complete Orlando’s beltway and include a six-lane connector into Mount Dora from SR 46. It is planned to be finished in about 5 years in 2021 (That's faster than The I4 Ultimate Project!).

With the ability to easily commute to the other metro areas of Central Florida, more buyers will have the opportunity to push out to the suburbs of Lake County.

How will it happen?
The routes on The Wekiva Parkway will mainly relieve travel congestion on US 441 and SR 46, in addition to the traffic resulting from travel between Seminole, Lake, and Orange counties. The project is expected to make travel more convenient (and faster!) to main employment areas and the attractions.
To maximize the flow of traffic, the road will be the first in Central Florida with all electronic tolling.
The first of the parkway will debut later this month - about 3 miles long located near Mount Plymouth. The small piece of parkway will link State Road 46 to the North (Lake County), and to the South, Mount Plymouth Road (Orange County).
The Wekiva Parkway will not only relieve some of the traffic issues we all loath as Central Floridians, it will also open up more Real Estate options.
