Historical nods and markers to this revolutionary footprint in speed and racing can still be seen throughout the area, including a replica of the first-ever gasoline alley, also known as Ormond Garage.

Parks & Trails
The Ormond Scenic Loop & Trail is another favorite part of Ormond Beach and stretches for 30+ miles. Locally known as 'The Loop", this Florida Scenic Highway is also designated at the national level and leads you through tons of beautiful natural scenery along the Atlantic Coast. Beginning on the west side of Granada Bridge, this corridor circles the waterway and barrier island and continues to travel north to North Beach Street.
Several parks will be laid in your path along this scenic byway, including the 1,800 acre Tomoka State Park where over 160 bird species have been spotted. This park has a boat ramp, canoe launch, and its own trails as well. The Loop can also lead you to over 30 historic sites in Ormond Beach, including the ruins of an old sugar mill.
Additional parks in the area include the oceanfront Addison Blockhouse Historic State Park, and Romano Beachfront Park along the beach. Central Park is a majestic escape, perfect for some fresh air and taking a stroll or exploring by canoe or kayak. Bulow Creek State Park consists of 5,000 acres and borders Ormond Beach to the north, making it an excellent recreational addition to the area.
Historic Downtown District
Even as a smaller hometown, Ormond Beach is packed full of local businesses, delicious eateries, and unique establishments. Over 60 different restaurants call Ormond Beach home and range in types and styles, including Italian, seafood, steakhouses, Mexican, bakeries, Asian cuisine, Irish pubs, Bistros, and more.
The Ormond Beach Main Street District holds a large part of this and extends for 1.8 miles from Granada Boulevard from A1A on the East to the west at Orchard Street. In that almost 2-mile stretch, over 150 businesses call it home and a destination for many community events. From restaurants to retail, services, shops, and more, there are a number of things to do and see in the downtown district.
There are several shopping complexes and boutiques in the area, cultural amenities, and a farmer's market as well. Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens is a great art museum with changing exhibits featuring local and national artists and houses a botanical garden. Another unique cultural center open to the public is called 'The Casements' and is a mansion once owned by famous American business magnate, John D. Rockefeller, as his winter home.
