Who doesn’t dream of a home that is beautiful inside and out, right?
A great first impression is the first step to a beautiful home. For sellers, it can help you sell your Florida home faster. For homeowners, it will be sure to put a smile on your face.
If you ARE getting your home ready to sell, make sure you are not overlooking your curb appeal. A few small projects can make a big difference.
Here are 6 easy ways you can improve your curb appeal:
1. Bring your home back to life by pressure washing the exterior walls.
Just remember to use the machine's lowest setting, and start from as far from the walls as possible. That will prevent you accidentally removing the paint from your walls. If your are not getting enough pressure, slowly get closer to the walls until you get the results you want.
2. Add color to your home.
There are two easy ways to do that. My favorite one is to add some plants. You can plant a few colorful flowers in your yard, or you can add a few potted plants to your porch. Both options are sure to brighten up the look of your home!
3. Add even more color to your home.
The second way to add color to your home is by painting your front door. Choose a color that is vibrant and contrasts well with your exterior walls. If you live in a neighborhood with HOA, make sure you check if there are any color restrictions. Some HOAs can be pretty strict, and it’s better to check with them before you invest your time and money on a project.
4. Get a nice looking mailbox.
There are so many options to choose from, you will definitely find something that will look great for your home. You can get any color, shape, or price you want. Just remember, if you are selling you home soon, pick a mailbox that will appeal to most buyers.
5. Replace your house numbers.
If you have outdated house numbers, it’s time to let them go. You will also find many options out there. And if you are getting you home ready to sell, use the same principle as the mailbox. Choose a design that appeals to most buyers.
6. Increase contrast.
Add white trim around doors and windows. Of course, if your home is white, you might want to add a different color trim. Once again, if your neighborhood has HOA, make sure you get your project approved before you start.
All these projects are easy and can be done fairly quickly. But the best part is that your home will look even better.
Potential buyers always welcome a good looking and well maintained home, and I'm sure so do you. So get your tools ready!
