The residents of Leesburg, Florida and ERA Grizzard are making an impact by supporting local organizations focused on giving back. Here are two of the organizations that are making a difference in our community: 

Alex’s Blessing Box

Alex’s Blessing Box is a local charity started by a young boy named Alex. His mission is to help the local homeless in the city of Leesburg through his “Blessing Box” full of donations that reads ‘Take what you need, leave what you can. Be blessed.’

“I was very surprised about the involvement of Alex and his family, and their commitment to helping! Alex’s story is quite moving, and it makes one humble and want to be involved too! I wanted to get involved with this organization mainly because it was so very ‘local,’ and we had the opportunity to make a direct impact in our community. Anyone can stop, anytime, at Alex’s Blessing Box to leave a little cheer. You can check their Facebook page where they share what the current needs are, and it’s updated routinely. Alex and his family were receiving so many donations for their blessing box that they quickly ran out of space in their home. The ERA Grizzard team came together to provide them with a storage unit (featured with Alex in photo above), making it possible to accept more donations.

What you can do to help

“Finding that we have such wonderful caring residents throughout Leesburg who are willing to get involved in this organization fills my heart! I was excited to get involved to be able to help those who are less fortunate and in need of support and care. Anyone can help simply by making friends and family aware that this beautiful organization exists, and/or giving of even the smallest of items, such as a toothbrush, comb, or blanket.
