It's been a stressful week in Central Florida, and we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and sound. While the storm itself is behind us, you might still be feeling the effects of Hurricane Irma.

If you're in need of any assistance, are looking for a way to give back, or need an update on the recovery process of our Central Florida communities, here is a list of helpful resources:

## School Closures

[Click here for a list of when Florida schools and colleges will be re-opening](http://www.fldoe.org/irma/)

## Power Outages

[Near the bottom of this post, find estimated power restoration dates by utility company. Also see information about disaster assistance, insurance information, and more helpful updates.](http://www.floridadisaster.org/index.asp)

## Need Assistance?

- If your home suffered damages from the storm and you need assistance, you can find more information online at [www.DisasterAssistance.gov](http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=00133CUoix7cXyOBmD4iUfKffzaOVVy-hiGKxAufmZM0BjdojdvRKo1VSBmJB3V1Im1klT3bDHxhlIgMHy4NQVtImKhrISWTgNLSR-NJCwXg6_a2lN4g5a7foXaIYtcdLi4q18wLAHtZzF6lazdBwPeLHGMgmdA_XdkYRZPtpZVxsUgEHzFyjTUJQ==&c=9VEEq_igshny0iF2lDnPrTqvumNPDOqlWCF9ZRJ8SSwHvO6ADwfR8g==&ch=-gODQfYmORTjNXKmRZCQ8RrhJpjo7rNPhHhVGOSA5VGWQ9MuANlATA==) or through the FEMA mobile app - [https://www.fema.gov/mobile-app](https://www.fema.gov/mobile-app). You can also call 1-800-621-3362.
- If you feel like you need someone to talk to, please contact the **[Distaster Distress Helpline.](https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/disaster-distress-helpline)**They're available for emotional support during this trying time.
- To donate or if you're in need of supplies, [find information on Florida's Food Banks here.](https://www.feedingflorida.org/news/entry/statewide-food-banks-provide-critical-relief-with-impact-of-hurricane-irma)
- See post-hurricane tips from FEMA including clean-up, price gouging information, and how you can help others [**here**](https://www.fema.gov/hurricane-irma)
- Be mindful of hurricane clean-up scams and frauds - [learn tips from the FTC on protecting yourself](https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/2017/09/avoid-hurricane-clean-scams)

## How You Can Help

- If you have excess supplies you don't plan on using, consider donating them to a local foodbank or volunteer effort rather than returning them.
- [**Find information on volunteering and donating to those in need here**](https://www.volunteerflorida.org/irma/)

Our thoughts are with you and your loved ones as we come together as a community to recover from this storm.

Sincerely,
The ERA Grizzard Team
